From Code to Impact: Digital Innovation Toward Jakarta as a Global City

JAKARTA, FEBRUARY 14, 2026 – The National Association of Informatics and Computer Students (PERMIKOMNAS) Region VI DKI Jakarta successfully held its official leadership inauguration and a high-level digital policy forum titled “From Code to Impact: Digital Innovation Toward Jakarta as a Global City” on Friday (14/02) at the MH. Thamrin Multipurpose Hall, Jakarta City Hall.


The event brought together dozens of student associations from various universities across Jakarta, serving as a strategic consolidation for technology students to advocate for a digital transformation that is inclusive, sustainable, and impactful for urban development.

Government Support and Cross-Sector Synergy The forum featured a keynote speech from the Jakarta Provincial Office of Communications, Informatics, and Statistics (Diskominfotik), represented by Mr. Firmansyah, Lead of the Security Operation Center, Cyber and Signal Division.


Beyond the inauguration, the discussion panel featured experts from the banking, technology, entrepreneurship, and media sectors, alongside public policy specialists. The panelists explored the critical roles of visionary leadership, technological innovation, and strategic entrepreneurship in strengthening Jakarta’s competitiveness on the global stage.


A Vision for New Leadership In her opening remarks, the Regional Coordinator of PERMIKOMNAS DKI Jakarta, Niha Nihaya, emphasized the organization’s commitment for the upcoming term.

"We stress the importance of progressive leadership regeneration, healthy cadre development, and cross-sector synergy. This forum is designed to be a collaborative space capable of bridging ideas, policies, and real-world implementation," Niha stated.


Empowering Students as Solution Creators The dynamic discussion highlighted several key pillars for Jakarta's digital ecosystem, including:

  • Adaptive Ecosystems: The need for a digital environment that responds quickly to global shifts.

  • Youth Talent Development: Enhancing the capacity of students to move beyond being technology consumers to becoming solution creators (problem solvers) with real social and economic impact.

  • Strategic Collaboration: Strengthening the network between communities, startups, academic institutions, and local government.
